When & where will the festival be held?
The 2026 Colorado State Square Dance Festival will be held at the University of Northern Colorado in the University Center, 2101 10th Ave. Greeley, Colorado, 80634. The weekend event is June 12-13, 2026. Register as early as you can to help us finance and plan the best festival experience for everyone. CAMPUS DORMS and Meals:  

The campus dorm suites are SOLD OUT.  

Our meal packages are still available for 60.00 per person.

The package includes 4 meals.

The meals can also be purchased with cash if you have not purchased the package.

The hours for our 4 meals are

 Dinner Friday 5:00 to 6:30, Breakfast on Saturday, 7:30 to 9:00,

 Lunch is 11:00 to 1:00 and then dinner at 5:00 to 6:30.

Festival Registration at a glance?

All the weekend registration fees can be found on the downloadable form or on the electronic registration site. You can pay your registration fee with cash, check or credit card.  There will be a small fee for registrations paid by credit card. Early Bird registration is your best deal and it is very helpful to the committee for planning purposes. You may withdraw from the festival with a written request to the Registrar, Beth Scott festivalregistration2026@outlook.com no later than June 12, 2026.

Parking?

We will use the following lots: 

Lot A-1 and A-2, C, T and Q

In each lot you will purchase your pass for the day with a credit card at the various parking stands in each lot.

PASSES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED IN THESE LOTS, EXCEPT AFTER 1:00 pm on Friday through Sunday.  After 1:00 on Friday, all parking is free for the weekend.

The entrance to Lot A-1 and A-2 is on 10th Ave. just south of 20th Street. This is the University Center Building # 83. 

Lot C, is the lot just south of the Center on 22nd St.

Lot T parking is for those staying at the Hansen Willis Dorm Building #172. Lot T is at the corner of 20th St. and 10th Ave. This is the Dorm we have secured for our guests.

Lot Q is on 9th Ave. and 20th St. and is where our RV guests will park their cars and their RV.

Can I withdraw from the festival?

Canceling and Refunds, Yes, you can cancel your registration fee if you cancel prior to the festival and receive a full refund for the registration fee.You can withdraw from the festival anytime but you will not receive a refund for your housing and meals if you cancel those after May 25th. You will be refunded your housing and meal tikects if you cancel prior to May 25th. If you register with a Credit/Debit card, your refund will be reduced by any credit card fees.

HOTELS AND RV PARKS:

HOTELS 

Fairfield Inn & Suites/2401 W 29th St/970 339 5030. The rooms have a coffee pot and microwave, and mini refrigerator. Hotel offers swimming pool , commentary breakfast, 24 hr. fitness area, and 24 hr. laundry available. $149.00 for either 2 Queens or Single King. You will need to book before 5/5/2026.

Americas Best. 800 31st St, Evans, CO/ 970 339 2492. They o have a coffee pot, microwave, and mini refrigerator in the rooms. Hotel offers swimming pool and commentary breakfast. The room rate is $70.00 for 2 Double or 1 Queen bed. Pet fee of $10.00.

Quality Inn & Conference Center 701 8th St. Greeley, 970-515-3006. The rooms have a coffee pot and microwave, and mini refrigerator. Swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, Breakfast. Will not quote price till Jan 2026.

What will we be dancing on?

WHAT WILL WE DANCE ON

The University Center Ballrooms have a beautiful wood floor. The dance areas other than the ballrooms are carpeted, and we will install the portable dance flooring that belongs to the MAPSDCouncil.

All dancing and activities will take place on one level of the University Center, except for the meals and snack areas which are downstairs.

What is the dance schedule?

This is the most asked question of all!  Detailed planning is ongoing but there are a few things we can share.

What is being planned for solos attending the festival?

Greetings Solo Dancers!

You will receive your ribbons in your registration package. They have a red background and gold letters that say “ASK ME TO DANCE” The ribbons can be attached to your name badge.

There will be a solo “MEET AND GREET” session in the solo lounge area with light refreshments just before the dinner hour on Friday afternoon. 

Look for the neon SOLO SIGN.  Dance cards and pencils will be provided.  Each dance hall will also have an area to meet fellow dancers.  Look for the “MEETIN’ PLACE” sign.

Whe & Where is the Showcase of Ideas?

The Showcase of Ideas and Educational Seminars are planned and managed by the CSSDA. There will be plenty of space provided in the Lobby area for showcasing. Seminars will be held in meeting rooms in the University Center. Each state festival is required to provide educational seminars or activities at the event.  If you have a particular thought on what you, your council or your club would like to cover, and/or want to reserve showcase space, please contact the CSSDA Presidents.  They are always open to new ideas. Are RV spaces available at the festival site?

RV PARKING ON SITE

There is a parking lot north and west of the University Center in the Q Lot for RV parking. The fee is $25/night. From the University Center, follow 20th street to the Q lot. The spaces are level but make note there are no services. It is dry camping only. Please visit the location map on the home page to view the location of the RV parking in Lot Q.
